Chris Hinkle for Bicycling magazine

Novus Select photographer Chris Hinkle teamed up with Bicycling Magazine to document some of this years top Mountain Bikes. “Back in April I met up with Bicycling magazine’s mountain bike test editors in Fruita, CO. We spent the week on both sides of the valley riding (myself riding and photographing) some amazing terrain…as well we took a couple trips down to Grand Junction for an equally impressive selection of trails. The days were long as I started in the early morning photographing the bikes as “still life”, out in the landscape, and then met up with the test editors mid-morning, as they road and evaluated bikes, so I could photograph the process with a mixture of action and day-in-the-life images. It was typically Mexican fare in the evening, after a hot shower, then editing into the night until finally crashing into the hotel bed.”
