Todd Bigelow for Der Spiegel

Novus Select and Aurora Photos photographer Todd Bigelow was recently featured in Der Spiegel. His images of Mexican boxer Abner Mares tell a striking story about the world champion boxer. Mares came to the United States as the son of illegal immigrants and eventually fell in with Latino gangs. His story and passion may not fall into the standard of the American dream, but it’s a story every American should hear.
