Aurora Photographer Gale Zucker has a new book titled Craft Activism: People, Ideas & Projects from the New Community of Handmade, and How You Can Join In. The book is out now, and published by Random House.
Gale has this to say about the book, “It’s not all plastic skirts from recycled shopping bags and fez wearing dudes with ukeleles. Nuh-uh. It’s about people who make to give, who make to create change, who create community- and who cover trees in yarn. Profiles, photo essays, stuff to make, and fashion, too.”
Gale will be at the American Folk Art Museum at Lincoln Center in New York City today at 6pm, speaking about the book with co-author and writer Joan Tapper.
