Aurora Select photographer Todd Korol has the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Summer Double Issue.

The Whitney Art Works of Maine presents a summer exhibit featuring Aurora contributor Shoshannah White, and eleven other artists. Using wax pored, dripped, mashed, cast, and tugged, they create beautiful and unexpected explorations in an ancient medium.

The exhibit WAX is featured at both locations of 45 York Street and 492 Congress Street from June 13 – July 21, and will continue at 45 York Street from July 25-September 1.

Photographer Bridget Besaw, of Aurora Select, has spent the last year working with the group “Maine Woods Forever” to depict the current state and importance of the Thoreau-Wabanaki Trail. A photographic exhibit will travel throughout the state of Maine from July 2007 to July 2008 before heading south to the major cities of Boston and New York.

The respective book “’Wildness Within, Wildness Without’ Exploring Maine’s Thoreau-Wabanaki Trail” is to be released August, 2007 and will be sold throughout bookstores in New England as well as being carried by the environmentally conscious retailer Patagonia.

Katja Heinemann photographed Saudi author Rajaa al-Sanea whose book Girls of Riyadh will be released in America on July 5th, for the German women’s magazine Brigitte.
